Student named Photographer of the Year at worldwide competition

BA (Hons) Photojournalism student Aiyush Pachnanda has been named Photographer of the Year at the EyEm Awards 2018 in Berlin.

Final year student Aiyush was selected from 100,000 photographers across the world who submitted to the competition, the largest of its kind in the world. "I am humbled by winning this competition - I'm forever  grateful for everyone that has supported me, and been with me through my journey as a photographer so far."

Photojournalism course leader Andrew Pearsall adds “To win Photographer of the Year at the EyEm Awards is such an incredible achievement. The awards are billed as the largest in the world with more than 700,000 submissions from 100,000 photographers around the world. Aiyush is an extremely hard working and talented student, who has been such an asset to the Photojournalism course. We’re so proud of him and can’t wait to see what he goes on to achieve in the future.”
