Mohammed Algorashi, from Saudi Arabia, is studying the MA Education (Innovation in Learning and Teaching).

"I’ve been working for nine years as a physics teacher in my home country of Saudi Arabia.

"I wanted to improve my knowledge and skillset so chose to take a Masters in Education at a British university that is renowned for its education courses.

"Specifically, I wanted to learn more about teaching strategies and different methods of teaching in order to improve the education system in my country.

"All the staff were so kind and helpful, particularly as I was an international student and was nervous at first.

"The teaching was good and clear, and I enjoyed all the modules particularly Innovation in Curriculum Design and Developing Digital Competence, which is all about using technology in the classroom, and explores the relationship between digital technology, learning and teaching and the pedagogies associated with technology enhanced learning.

"I also enjoyed the Leadership and Management module which had very useful information on how to manage your classroom.

"Overall, the MA Education was very beneficial. It helped me to gain up-to-date knowledge and develop as a critical thinker.

"I learned more about research methodology and new ways to improve my own research which has given me the confidence to consider a PhD in this area.

"Gaining the Masters qualification also means that I can get a promotion that raises my salary."
