Module: Maximising Human Performance

The Maximising Human Performance module is designed to provide a multidimensional and interdisciplinary approach to performance, thus providing the coach with the widest possible variety of tools and approaches to maximise their athlete‘s performance in a range of performance settings. 

The factors affecting human performance are highly varied and interactive. Therefore, it is impossible to explain human performance from a single academic discipline.

Traditionally, strength and conditioning education is focused predominantly on the fields of biomechanics and physiology, and subsequently attempts to explain physical performance from within these disciplines. Whilst this can be illuminating in some instances, it fails to provide the interdisciplinary perspective that is required for effective coaching.

The potential to solve performance problems is maximised when they can be viewed from multiple perspectives.
