Ceri Bowley is the course leader for the BSc (Hons) Football Coaching and Performance degree at USW.
Ceri began his career at grassroots level as a coach working with young players, and once more experienced, moved onto different phases of the game.
He has experience working in Premier League academies with Swansea City, performance centres in the girl’s side of the game, as well as working at youth and senior level.
Ceri is also currently Head of Youth at Welsh Premier League Club Barry Town’s Academy where he is responsible for player and coach development across all age groups from under 9 to Development Squad.
Ceri joined USW in 2016, having previously spent three years at The Football Association in England as a Regional Coach Mentor Officer, looking after the South West of the country.
He has provided a range of consultancy services to athletes, coaches, clubs, and NGBs as well as being an early career researcher with a particular focus on life skills development. Ceri has worked with a number of NGBs to help develop their coach education and coach mentoring programmes.

"What we see at the moment in terms of the calibre of students that are being developed through our football courses, and seeing what our graduates are out there doing and achieving, gives me a great sense of satisfaction."
