Due to the coronavirus, more, and more people are having to self-isolate. So, we thought we would help you pass the time, with a list of things you can do at home. Here’s our ‘Top 10’:
Engage with online teaching and catch up with anything you’ve fallen behind on.
Scroll through YouTube to find the perfect exercise video. Pilates, Zumba, Body Combat or Yoga, the choice is yours.
3. Watch your favourite movies
Whether you prefer action movies, chick flicks, thrillers or true stories, pick the movies you laugh at, cry with, jump at, and smile with, to watch at home.
Try a new recipe or make your favourite meal. You’ll probably find your eating healthier at home than you have been, at uni!
Make time to speak with your nearest and dearest online. Just because you can’t meet in person doesn’t mean you can’t spend time together. Now, more than ever, it’s important to stay in touch.
6. Get Organised
Spend time going through the files on your desktop, organising your draws and crossing off those jobs on your to-do list.
7. Read a book
Whether you prefer fact or fiction, now is the time to catch up on some reading. The internet is filled with reading materials. So, you're bound to find something you'll enjoy!
8. Learn a new skill
It’s easy to learn new skills for free. YouTube is filled with tutorials. So, if you’ve always wanted to learn, a new language, how to dance, practice photography, to play an instrument, to create a website, or bake a cake, now is your chance.
Do the cleaning you have put off or help your loved ones with theirs. You'll find it therapeutic!

We've asked students and staff what songs are keeping them going during this difficult time. We received over 150 recommendations which we've added to the playlist to help you pass the time while you study, cook, clean, exercise and organise yourself. It's got everything, from Lizzo to Dolly Parton! We hope you enjoy it!
