1 to 1 meetings and virtual support has given me huge confidence in remote learning

Computer forensics student, Bethan Jenkins, finalised her third year at USW, including her dissertation, online. Thanks to great support from lecturers, Bethan was able to continue with her studies and complete her examinations. She will be returning to USW in September to complete her masters via remote learning.

"Online learning for me began at a tricky time when I was still working through my dissertation and finalising the last sections. I really worried that I’d find it difficult to continue working with my dissertation and didn’t know if I’d receive the same level of support before my online examinations started.

I couldn’t have been more wrong! My lecturers were incredibly helpful, always at the end of an email and willing to hold 1:1 meetings with me to talk through anything I was worried about! The level of support I received before examinations was also brilliant, I felt really supported the whole time and felt prepared to continue my work. I’ve finished my BSc now and will be returning to university in September to begin my MSc via remote learning."
