USW Love Story

Last Valentine’s Day we shared with you a USW love story.

Imogen and Edward who met through a gathering of the USW Christian Union in 2015, the Sunday after Freshers’ week, were planning their wedding 🤵‍♂️👰 for June last year.

Little did they know at the time, the arrival of coronavirus would turn their wedding plans on its head.

We caught up with computer forensics graduate Imogen, for this Valentine’s Day, for an update on their wedding plans:

“The original plan was to get married at our church in Pontypridd and to have our reception at the University’s Conference Centre. We thought it would be nice to have our reception there as our relationship began at the University.

Last year, we were sad to have to postpone the wedding, but, by doing so, it enabled us more time to plan, and I could focus more on my last few months of university work.

The good news is we're still getting married at our church, this June, but we've moved our reception there too as our guest numbers will be lower than originally planned.

We're disappointed not to have everyone we want there, but the day is still going to be special, and I am looking forward to finally becoming Mr and Mrs Smith.”

Happy Valentine’s Day!
