“Being able to undergo placement opportunities in my local health board has helped me to build up a rapport with potential future colleagues.”

6. Research-informed teaching

“I liked that I’d read a lot of research conducted by Professor Ruth Northway, and she is part of the learning disabilities team.”

7. Opportunities to undertake a placement abroad

“The chance to do a placement abroad intrigued me as I’m interested in learning new ways of how support is given to people with learning disabilities.”
