After you have applied for halls of residence, you'll receive your accommodation booking email once your place at USW becomes unconditional firm (and you are eligible to enrol on your course). For most students, this will be after the exam results are announced in the summer. International students will also need a valid visa application. Please see below for information on each location.
If you applied for halls on or before 16th July 2021, hold an Unconditional Firm offer and are eligible to enrol on a full time course of study at USW, we will send you an invitation to complete your room selection and confirm your accommodation between the following dates:
From 26th July 2021
To 27th August 2021
On an ad-hoc basis thereafter, depending on availability.
The room selection email will contain a link to the online portal and log-in information. It will provide you with the date on which you must complete your room selection. It will also contain instructions on how to select your room.
IMPORTANT: You must complete your room selection and pay the pre-payment on the date specified in your room selection email.
Rejecting the room offer
You do not have to accept our offer of accommodation. If you reject it, we may not be able to make you another offer unless there are special circumstances that we were unaware of at the time of allocation. Your next step may then be to find private accommodation.
If you miss your room selection date, please contact us to request a new one. You may have to wait for other applicants to complete their room assignments before you can be offered a new date.
If there is a delay to your course offer becoming Unconditional Firm, it is likely to affect your chances of being allocated your preferred room. Delays can include things like not achieving your offer grades and going through the appeal process.
Applicants book directly with our partners Unite. This means you will book your room straight away (subject to terms and conditions) and won't have to wait for confirmation of your room offer.
When you have booked your room via the online portal you will be asked to sign a legally binding agreement with Unite. Please make sure you read the terms and conditions and the cancellation policy carefully.
