Nursing Student Accommodation
If you are due to start your nursing or midwifery course in September, you will receive an information pack in June which contains details on how to apply for accommodation – this is your responsibility to arrange. You could choose to live in the hospital, University or private sector accommodation.
This information is only sent to applicants who have accepted their course offer on a Firm Basis and indicated at interview that they require accommodation.

Available options
Hospital accommodation
This is limited and priority is given to applicants from further afield. The residences are at one of our district general hospitals in Bridgend, Merthyr Tydfil, and Llantrisant.
Accommodation varies from a room in a shared flat with shared kitchen and bathroom facilities to single, en-suite rooms with a shared kitchen-diner.
Costs vary and will depend on the accommodation you book but the average cost is around £240 per month (which includes utilities but not internet access).
You sign up to a monthly rolling contract and is payable on a monthly basis and you are expected to pay rent throughout the vacation period whether you remain in occupancy or not.
University and private accommodation
University accommodation is available in various options and locations. Note: halls accommodation at the Trefforest campus is for a fixed term of either 40 or 42 weeks, it is your responsibility to ensure that this meets your needs prior to booking. Private sector accommodation is widely available in all locations. Please check Studentpad for the latest options.
