Simulation Learning

Our approach to teaching is to fully immerse students in the world of healthcare, with learning and teaching that spans theory and practice, and ensures our students are given the best possible preparation for their future careers.

Our impressive range of facilities have been purpose-built with this in mind. Students learn beyond the classroom in simulated environments before undertaking supervised placements.

Free Taster Courses

Get a taste of studying at USW

Thinking about studying a Chiropractic degree, but unsure whether USW is right for you? Our short taster courses cover a variety of topics to introduce you to your chosen area of study and give you a glimpse into how you will learn at USW. 

Taster courses vary in length, but you can stop, resume or replay the taster course at any time once you’ve started. You can also track your progress during each course.

This taster course contains a mixture of topics that introduce the skills and techniques involved in chiropractic treatment and therapy. Upon completion, you will better understand what is involved in becoming a registered Chiropractor.

Influence Change

We offer a number of research programmes including Masters by Research and Health Sciences PhD, which allow you to make an in-depth study of a topic that interests you or your organisation. You can study full-time or part-time, on campus or by distance.

We have research strengths in a number of individual disciplines and interdisciplinary areas including Genetics and Genomics; Addictions Research;  Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities; Promoting Lifelong Health; Spirituality; Storytelling; and health and social care.

In the Postgraduate Research Experience Survey 2019/20, USW ranked 9th overall for student satisfaction.
