COMPUTING DEGREES
Computing Tomorrows
Do you have a passion for all things computing? Our computing courses cover the full range of subject areas required by industry, including programming, security and games development.
You'll benefit from regular input from experts working in the industry, and many courses offer the opportunity to work in the industry as part of a placement.
These practical courses allow you to turn your passion into a career and gain the hands-on experience you need to become an industry-ready graduate.
Accredited Courses

Many of our computing degrees are fully accredited by the BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT. Graduates of these courses meet the academic requirements to work towards Chartered IT Professional (CITP) status. MComp graduates also meet the educational requirements for Chartered Engineer (CEng) status. Some employers recruit preferentially from accredited degrees, and an accredited computing degree is likely to be recognised in other countries.
Impressive Facilitites

We have a Digital Investigation Lab, which is a computer forensic facility typical of those used by law enforcement agencies. Our Games Development facility features the latest Intel hardware to provide extra high-powered gaming PCs. You’ll also find numerous dedicated computing suites, all with the latest software.
Recognised by Excellence

We consistently rate highly in the National Student Survey for our courses, showing our commitment to our students. We are also proud to be leaders in this area as we were the first University in Wales to gain GCHQ certification and the first CISCO Cyber Academy in Wales. USW has also been named Cyber University of the Year for four consecutive years at the National Cyber Awards (2019-2022).
