Our computing courses cover the full range of subject areas required by industry, including programming, computer security, and computer games development. All our computing courses develop your skills in a focused and supportive environment. To enhance your employability, there are added extras relevant to each specialist area. Computer Forensics students, for example, have training in courtroom skills and how to present evidence.
Many of our computing degrees are fully accredited by the BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT. Some employers recruit preferentially from accredited degrees, and an accredited computing degree is likely to be recognised in other countries.
As a computing student, you’ll use the latest technologies in high-spec labs. There’s a Digital Investigation Lab, which is a computer forensic facility typical of those used by law enforcement agencies to analyse computer files and digital media for use as evidence in court. We’ve just invested in a new Cyber Security Suite, with computer and research laboratories.
Our Computer Games Development facility features the latest Intel hardware to provide extra high-powered gaming PCs. There are also console development kits, large curved monitors and cutting edge gaming PCs, allowing you to develop games in a realistic testing environment.
