Work on Live Projects
Supported by expert teaching, our design students have worked on professional briefs from real clients, including Nike, British Airways and Cardiff Blues. We also have unique partnerships with industry that provide opportunities to take on work experience on cutting-edge TV shows, films and video game productions.
Award-Winning Alumni
Design students from the University have an established record of awards success, collecting prizes at the D&AD New Blood Designer Award, Young Creative Network Awards, and the Caramelite Prize. Many of our former students have also worked on blockbuster films and games that have been nominated for BAFTAS and Oscars.
Creative Learning
All our design courses offer a stimulating, creative environment with brand-new dedicated studio space. Our design studios are designed to emulate commercial design studios, from creative collaborative spaces to our industry pitching room. You will also have access to Mac rooms, a wide variety of image capture devices and even Raspberry Pi.
UNDERGRADUATE COURSES
Design Courses
Our progressive Graphic Communication course is for people who like to solve real-world visual communication problems, realise intelligent ideas, create brands, structure information graphics and deliver user experiences through future technologies.
Our industry-led degree offers a culturally informed programme of study. You’ll push boundaries, challenge convention, and harness new technology to solve illustration briefs, projects and design problems.
Interior design is about creative thinking and making, whilst encouraging individuality, and exploring the possibilities within architectural and interior design processes relative to the industry.
Our industry-led course will prepare you to work in a professional art department and understand how drama and entertainment are designed and developed from script to screen.
Our industry-focussed course blends creative thinking with commercial insight to equip students with the versatile skills, experiences and confidence that is required in the advertising industry.
Our course teaches you all aspects of advertising, from how to generate social media content and final campaign outputs (across all media platforms), to consumer behaviour, marketing and psychology.
We aim to produce visionary designers and promoters who are ready for successful careers in fashion and retail. Become a future face of the design industry.
Focusing on the creative and artistic aspects of games production, giving you the practical skills to develop, produce and publish game titles.
