Inspiring Tomorrows

Education is an exciting and rewarding profession. If you are passionate about helping people learn and want practical study with a hands-on approach, this discipline could be right for you. From education theories to child development and behavioural challenges, education study at the University of South Wales will help you make a difference.

Our education courses have a practical approach. With work placements and clinics on campus, you’ll have every opportunity to gain skills, confidence and experience. If you are interested in teaching learners aged 16+ we offer two teacher training courses - PGCE and PgCE courses in post-compulsory education and training.

We offer a range of Education short courses for continued professional development opportunities. Additionally, if you have missed out on a B grade at GCSE for English Language and Mathematics, the University offers specific modules to give you the equivalent qualifications.

Work Experience

Work placements and teaching experience are embedded in our degrees to enhance your skills and reflect on how theory links to practice in an authentic learning situation. The places you study and live make a big difference to what you get out of university. It’s important to be somewhere that feels like home, but can also surprise you. South Wales offers rich experiences, with Cardiff at the heart.

With campuses in and around Cardiff, you can experience the diversity that south Wales has to offer – the buzz of the cities, the beauty of the coast, and the calm of the countryside.

We have five campuses across three locations, but we’re one university. Every campus is open to you and whatever inspires you, you’re always welcome.
