GCSE English Language and Mathematics equivalence modules

These modules are recognised by Welsh higher education providers and are equal to 20 credits at higher education Level 4. If you already have a C grade GCSE English language or mathematics (or equivalent), and wish to gain a B grade GCSE equivalent qualifcation, then this course is for you.

Leading and Managing SEN/ALN

This module is for practitioners who work both in Mainstream and Special Schools to develop and raise the achievement of children and young people with SEN/ALN.

SpLD/Dyslexia: Professional Practice Assessment and Reporting

This module is delivered in collaboration with PATOSS, and provides you with the theoretical foundation, appropriate tools and supervised practice to develop your existing skills into those of the specialist teacher assessor. This course leads to an Assessment Practising Certificate (APC).

Professional Learning

This module has been specially designed to support practitioners to critically analyse and evaluate theory, policy and practice in relation to their own professional role.

Professional Learning through Action Research

This module aims to enable you to apply the knowledge, critical understanding and skills acquired during the course of study for a specified module through an Action Research project.

Promoting Excellence in Learning and Teaching - NQT Module

This Promoting Excellence in Learning and Teaching module has been specially designed for Newly Qualified Teachers to work on a 30 credit Level 7 module while they are completing their induction year in school
