Fashion degrees at the University of South Wales examine and nurture the connection between commerciality and creativity. We aim to produce visionary designers who are ready for successful careers in fashion and retail. Our fashion graduates have the skills and knowledge to excel in the fashion industry, and we prepare them to become the future faces of design.
Our students have won awards at Graduate Fashion Week for many years.
All fashion students work on ‘live’ projects and competitions, which are supported by annual industry visits. These opportunities will help you gain maximum real-life exposure in the fast-paced and competitive work arena of fashion, retail and interior design.

We are affiliated with Graduate Fashion Week and each year, our students showcase their final year projects at the event.
Our staff have years of combined worldwide experience and working knowledge of the fashion industry so you can rest assured that you will be in safe hands with our team who are always available to provide guidance when you need it.
At USW we have incredible contacts with the fashion industry. Our students work on 'live' projects with real brands that have included the likes of Next and Topshop. Many of our students have also undertaken internships at fashion brands including Vivienne Westwood and Harrods.
USW Cardiff is based in the heart of the city centre, with major studios and creative agencies within easy reach including BBC, Wolf Studios, S3 Advertising and Golley Slater.
In addition to teaching essential technical skills for industry, we ensure students are adept in creativity, problem solving and innovation. With emphasis on ‘problem-led’ learning, we want to ensure that every student is creative-on- demand and job-ready.
