Fashion degrees at the University of South Wales examine and nurture the connection between commerciality and creativity. We aim to produce visionary fashion graduates who are ready for successful careers in the retail and fashion world. Our graduates have the skills and knowledge to excel in the fashion industry, and we prepare them to become the future faces of design.
Our students have won awards at Graduate Fashion Week for many years.
All fashion students work on ‘live’ projects and competitions with fashion brands, which are supported by annual industry visits. These opportunities will help you gain maximum real-life exposure in the fast-paced and competitive work arena of fashion, retail and interior design.

Career Opportunities
At USW we have incredible contacts with the fashion industry. Our students work on 'live' projects with real brands that have included the likes of Next and Topshop. Many of our students have also undertaken internships at fashion brands including Vivienne Westwood and Harrods.
British Fashion Week
We are affiliated with Graduate Fashion Week. Each year, our students showcase their final year projects at the event, where top fashion brands and the best in the business attend.

Fashion Courses

The fashion design degree offers experience of the fashion industry beyond the university environment and sets a culture, skillset, and attributes for life after graduation. You’ll engage in design thinking and a process-driven approach to solve complex issues of design, sustainability and commercial success.
This degree focuses on marketing and business strategy in the fashion and lifestyle industry. You will graduate with the knowledge and confidence to begin a career in marketing and business in the fashion industry, with the potential to work anywhere in the world with your professional creative skills.
Do you want to learn how to create a fashion magazine, plan a digital marketing campaign, style and direct and photoshoot, or launch a brand? This degree teaches you the fundamentals of creative fashion marketing, to enable students to create innovative, creative work through words, images and experiences.

Each year we take time to celebrate the work of our Faculty of Creative Industry students through a festival called 'Gradfest'.
This dedicated festival is home to project work, blogs, videos, social posts and so much more from our Fashion students.
