The University offers a scholarship worth £1,000 to students who wish to study at least 40 credits (ie, a third) of an eligible course through the medium of Welsh. Check the eligible course list and visit our scholarships page for more information.

It is possible for Welsh speakers or those learning the language to live with other Welsh speakers in the Halls of Residence. You will need to tick the relevant box on your accommodation application form.

Students who are interested in presenting their work through the medium of Welsh are encouraged to speak to their personal tutor or the lecturer to discuss the options. The University also offers a study support service through the medium of Welsh.

We have specialist skills tutoring and mental health mentors who are available to offer a Welsh language service to our students. Visit our student support pages for more information.

There are Welsh speakers among the lecturers in some areas of study at the University. For more information, email: [email protected]

Many of the University's courses have opportunities for students to attend a period of work experience as part of their course, and where possible, you can develop your Welsh language skills within a bilingual work setting. For more information, email: [email protected]
