DCMS Bursary for MSc Computer Forensics 2018/19

As part of the to the National Cyber Security Programme, the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) is providing bursary funding for adults looking to retrain and start a new career in cyber security. The bursaries are for GCHQ certified courses only. USW has been working with DCMS and anticipate bursaries being available for our GCHQ certified MSc Computer Forensics course. Full criteria will be published shortly but the bursaries will be for career transitioners rather than students coming straight from undergraduate courses. Bursaries will be for tuition fees only. Leverhulme Bursary

The Leverhulme Trade Charities Trust offers financial support for grocers, chemists, commercial travellers and their families. As well as funding welfare assistance, the trust also awards bursaries for university study at undergraduate and postgraduate level. 

The deadline for applications is 1st November for undergraduate and 1st October for postgraduate.

The Viscount Amory’s Charitable Trust aims was to support the people of Devon through their communal activities in the spheres of education, religious expression, the relief of poverty and the development of the characters and physical well-being of the young people of Devon.

Schwab & Westheimer Trust

Created by the Schwab & Westheimer Trust to help young asylum seekers and refugees to pursue higher education.

Up to three people a year will be supported by the Westheimer Scholarship to study for a first degree or professional qualification in the field of healthcare through a scholarship ranging from £10-20k a year.

Schwab Grants of up to £2,000 are also available for students who are needing help with resources in their courses.

Glamorgan Trust Fund

This Fund is intended to benefit those who have attended a Secondary School in the area of the former County of Glamorgan, including Howells School, but excluding schools which were in the areas of the former County Boroughs of Cardiff, Swansea and Merthyr Tydfil, for not less than 2 years.

Royal Television Society - Television Production and Broadcast Journalism Bursary

This bursary provides support for students from low-income households by helping them to build a network of contacts, providing financial help and opportunities for skills development and mentoring. There are two bursaries available to support living expenses, membership of the Royal Television Society and affiliate membership of the Hospital Club.

The Royal Television Society is committed to supporting UK undergraduates who wish to study computing, engineering, television production or broadcast journalism.

Prospective UK Home students with a firm offer to study one of the above courses at University of South Wales may be eligible to apply for this bursary - Deadline for all applications is midday on 30th June 2018.

Spotcap Fintech Fellowship

Launched on 10th April 2017, the Spotcap Fintech Fellowship is helping build a healthy talent pipeline for British fintech. Awarded to one student per academic year, the Fellowship contributes £8,000 towards a Master's degree or MBA in a fintech related field. Applicants will be able to demonstrate an interest in fintech, with the intention to work in the field after graduation.

TypologyCentral.Com is offering an opportunity to win up to $2,000 in scholarship funding for undergraduate and graduate students. Activia Training Annual Scholarship Award

Activia Training have set up an annual scholarship fund of £1,000 which will be paid via two £500 awards to the students submitting winning entries that meet the requirements detailed on the scholarship web page. Submissions can be made in either video or essay format.

Students must be UK citizens attending, or have secured a place, on an undergraduate or postgraduate programme, (full-time or part-time).

The Quality Formations Scholarship

The Quality Formations scholarship is open to both current and incoming full time undergraduate or postgraduate students, currently enrolled at an accredited learning institution in the UK or US. Quality Formations will award up to 6 students with a bursary of £1,000. This is a one-off payment, and should be utilised to further develop each winner’s business concept.

1st Formations Scholarship

1st Formations Business Scholarship is open to anyone currently studying for an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in a recognised UK academic institution. The Scholarship awards up to 10 successful applicants with a bursary of £600 each. The bursary is designed to help students with some of the additional costs involved in studying, such as the cost of course materials, textbooks and other living expenses.

AFTE Scholarship Program

AFTE awards $2000.00 annually to students seeking a career in Forensic Science. Applicants must be entering their third year or higher of a Bachelor’s degree or enrolled in any year of an advanced degree (MS, PhD, MD or comparable) program.

GoPR Scholarship

GoPR is offering a $1000 Scholarship to students with a passion for Digital Marketing. This would be applicable to enrolled students undertaking marketing courses, in particular Msc Strategic Digital Marketing.

The scholarship winner will be announced July 28th, 2019, and each subsequent year on July 28th, to mark the celebration of H.M King of Thailand birthday where our office is based.
