We have a variety of courses available in Games, Animation and Visual Effects – all developed with their respective industries and ensuring that graduate with industry connections and portfolio of work to showcase your talent.

Our Facilities

Our facilities have computer laps equipped with large Wacom Cintiqu tablets ~ high-spec PCs with full licences for industry‐standard software for animation and game-art students, and remote‐desktop access so students can work off-campus.

Motion capture, green-screen and VR/AR technologies supported under the games/animation umbrella. A dedicated floor with a life‐drawing room, spacious stop-motion workshops (for puppet/ model-making), filming rooms, access to 3D printing and laser‐cutting zones.

Live‐project studios where students work on “real world” briefs and collaborate with external studios or industry partners; this mirrors studio workflows.


THE BA ANIMATION COURSE AT USW IS A GREAT FOUNDATION FOR STOP-MOTION ANIMATION, BUT FOR ME, THE LINKS INTO THE INDUSTRY WERE FUNDAMENTAL.
