Open Days are the ideal way to discover the opportunities awaiting you at the University of South Wales, both professionally and personally. 

At a USW open day, you'll have the chance to explore our campuses, meet academic staff and current students, take part in interactive activities related to your course, learn about life at USW, take tours of the accommodation and facilities, and get lots of advice around support, money, careers and study options.

On-campus events run throughout the year. With five campuses across three locations, you can experience the diversity that South Wales has to offer – the buzz of the cities, the beauty of the coast, and the calm of the countryside.

Where: Cardiff, Newport and Pontypridd campuses

Time: 12pm - 3pm

The Event: Just got your results and looking at where to study, or maybe you've already got an offer from USW? Join us on campus for our Clearing Open Day on Saturday 20th August. This is your opportunity to explore the campus and surrounding locations, get in-depth information and advice on the course or subject you're interested in studying, take guided tours of our facilities, ask lots of questions about careers, money and support, and to get a taste of what life is like at USW.

Where: Cardiff, Newport and Pontypridd campuses

Time: 3pm - 6pm

The Event: Just got your results and looking at where to study, or maybe you've already got an offer from USW? Join us on campus for our Clearing Open Day on Saturday 25th August. This is your opportunity to explore the campus and surrounding locations, get in-depth information and advice on the course or subject you're interested in studying, take guided tours of our facilities, ask lots of questions about careers, money and support, and to get a taste of what life is like at USW.

If you can't attend on-campus or would like more advice, we run online open days throughout the year. Here you can watch live presentations from our teaching and support staff, chat live with staff and students and ask questions in Q&A sessions.

Time: 4pm - 7pm

The Event: Join us on the 27th July for an online open evening. Online events are an ideal way to experience what it's like to study at USW. Through virtual software and videos, you can explore the campus, find your perfect course, speak to staff and much more.

Clearing Live Events

Whether you're applying through Clearing or confirming your place at University there is a lot get your head around. If you're a student, parent, guardian or advisor - get results day ready with our summer events programme.

Where: Online (Through our Unibuddy platform)

Time: 7pm - 8pm

The Event: Applying to University through clearing is really exciting, but it can also be a stressful experience. Join current students and staff from our Admissions and Student Recruitment Team to find out how to make sure you're ready to make the most of clearing, and get answers to your questions.

Time: 7pm - 8pm

The Event: Getting ready to join USW this September? You’re likely to be feeling excited as well as apprehensive about what your student experience will be like but try not to worry! For most people, university is one of the best experiences of their lives. Join our “USW Live: Student life - what can I look forward to?” Instagram Live event where we’ll be discussing what you can expect when you start university, from how to meet people and make friends to joining clubs, societies and sports teams. We’ll also be hosting a panel discussion so you can ask your questions direct to current students and find out what their experiences were. Get a taste for what it's like to study, live, socialise and more at the University of South Wales.
