Travel InformationWhat to bring
To make the most of your Open Day, we suggest bringing along:
- Your booking confirmation email (with your QR code for registration).
- A notebook or device to jot down ideas, details, or questions.
- Comfortable shoes - you’ll be exploring the campus.
- A reusable water bottle. We have refill points available around campus.
Our events are relaxed, so there’s no dress code. Just come as you feel comfortable and ready to enjoy the day.
Arriving at the event
Information on travel as well as the nearest train stations and car parks will be sent to you via email prior to the event.
Our friendly student ambassadors will also be on hand to help guide you to campus for registration.
Planning your day
You will be sent a programme that has all the timings for your subject talks, tours and our information fair.
Make sure you attend as many of these as possible to get the best out of the day, see everything we have to offer and get all your questions answered.
Prepare some questions to ask
An Open Day is a whole day of your time dedicated to a university, so it’s only right to make the most of it. Have a question? Ask it! Nothing will ever be too much trouble for us.
We’ve already put together a handy list of questions that you can take with you to the open day to make sure you gather all the essential information you’ll need to make the best decision for your future.

Why not set aside some time after your Open Day to discover what’s nearby? You could grab a bite to eat at a local café or restaurant, browse the shops, or simply get a feel for the neighbourhood.
It’s also useful to check out practical things like transport links, supermarkets, or pharmacies so you know what’s close at hand.
