Immigration Advice Services

The Immigration Advice Services (IAS) team provides support to international students with immigration matters relating to their studies and beyond. They provide immigration advice predominantly around Student Route but also offer an advisory service for non-academic and welfare-related matters, to further support and enhance the international student experience and promote internationalisation at USW and in the community.

The IAS team consists of the following:

Lloyd Williams – Student Engagement and Exams Principal Officer
Darren Avery – Immigration Adviser
Oksana Lipinski – Immigration Adviser

Advice provided by IAS is regulated by the Immigration Advice Authority (IAA). IAS work within UK immigration rules, ensuring compliance with and maintenance of the University’s Sponsor Licence. 

Their services include but are not limited to:

  • Student Route applications
  • eVisa account creation
  • eVisa corrections
  • Right to Study checks
  • Graduate Route advice
  • Welfare and pastoral matters
