Applying for Accommodation
Applying for accommodation in halls is very easy. The only thing we’d say is – don’t leave it too late. The earlier you apply, the more likely it is you’ll get the accommodation you want.

From February onwards, we will contact you and invite you to apply for accommodation within two weeks of firmly accepting your offer.
At this stage, you will be required to confirm your accommodation preferences, including:

As part of the accommodation application process, you will also be required to make either an advanced rent payment or a deposit (depending on which accommodation you have applied for) which can be paid online. This is only refundable according to the terms and conditions of the accommodation provider.
The USW Accommodation Guarantee means that you will have a guaranteed room in student halls (non-location specific). Check your eligibility here.
- From 4 weeks after completing the first stage of your application, you will be sent your room details and further instructions on how to confirm your booking.
- From 21 July 2025, You’ll receive accommodation information before joining us in September, including your moving in details and dates, parking information, room and address details and an introduction to our Accommodation Team.
If you don’t meet the criteria of the USW Accommodation Guarantee, we won’t confirm whether you have been allocated a room until after 14 August 2025 (Results Day). If demand for rooms is high, you may be required to source your accommodation independently.
