The Need
Before launching 66 Days, its founder, Dan McCadden, was juggling four zero-hour contract jobs just to stay afloat — all while trying to build a business from the ground up. The vision was there: to help brands and businesses stand out online through high-quality promo videos, social media shorts, and photography. But without a clear USP, financial stability, or the space to focus, turning that vision into a full-time business felt like a long shot.
There was a real need for support, not just in terms of business development and mentoring, but also access to kit, structure, and a community of like-minded creatives.
The solution
That’s where the LAUNCH+ programme — a four-month business development programme with salary replacement delivered by USW Enterprise — really allowed Dan to focus on his startup. 66 Days was able to go from a side hustle to a full-time operation over those months, by defining a clear USP, sharpen service offerings, and provide the breathing space needed to focus on growth. And the support didn’t stop there. From business mentors and expert advice at every stage, to access to high-quality kit and funding for equipment, Startup Stiwdio became a central part of the journey.
The impact
Since then, 66 Days has been busy — and not just locally. The team recently landed a major contract with Global Water Intel, an international organisation working to make clean drinking water accessible across the world. The brief? To shine a spotlight on the global water industry and raise awareness of the positive impact it’s making. That meant jetting off to document world-leading water facilities in Hong Kong, China, Singapore, and Australia to produce high-quality, story-driven content to inspire and inform a global audience.
