Module Overview

This programme will provide the most up to date knowledge needed to effectively address the evidence base in physiology, biology, epigenetics, aesthetics relating to longevity medicine. The programme also provides a flexible learning approach that fits into your schedule, allowing you to balance education with your existing commitments.

Following the completion of the programme, students will have the opportunity to pursue varied specialist positions that incorporate the broad aspects of anti-aging medicine, as well as progression to PGDip and MSc, to potentially influence evidence-based development in this area and actively contribute to research in ageing science.

Science and Endocrinology of Ageing

This module aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the scientific basis and endocrinological mechanisms that underlie the ageing process. It will explore the key physiological changes associated with ageing and the endocrine system's role in this complex process. Participants will delve into the latest research and advancements in the field, equipping them to identify and evaluate age-related health concerns in a healthcare setting including biological measures of ageing.

Cosmetic and Aesthetic Anti-Ageing Strategies

This module explores cosmetic and aesthetic approaches to anti-ageing, focusing on evidence-based practices that enhance patients' well-being and self-esteem. Participants will investigate various non-invasive and minimally invasive techniques, critically assessing their efficacy, safety, and ethical considerations. The module aims to equip healthcare professionals with the knowledge to advise patients on the latest cosmetic interventions while prioritising patient safety and informed decision-making.

Therapeutic Anti-Ageing Interventions

This module focuses on therapeutic interventions that target age-related conditions and promote healthy ageing. Participants will explore pharmacological, nutritional, and lifestyle interventions, critically assessing their potential benefits and risks. Emphasis will be placed on evidence-based practices and personalised care to optimise patient outcomes. The module aims to empower healthcare professionals to implement innovative therapeutic strategies to enhance patients' quality of life as they age.

To secure your place on the course, applicants will typically hold a first degree or equivalent (including international qualifications) in a relevant subject.

English language requirements

International applicants will need to have achieved an overall of IELTS 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component/TOEFL 72 overall and a minimum of 18 in reading, 17 in listening, 20 in speaking and 17 in writing or equivalent.

*Important: Full-time fees are per year. Part-time fees are per 20 credits. Once enrolled, the fee will remain at the same rate throughout the duration of your study on this course.

How you’ll learn

Our courses are conducted entirely online through self-directed distance learning. You’ll receive guidance throughout your course with tutor-stimulated academic discussions, which are based on clinically-rich case scenarios.

These usually occur within groups of 10-20 students, allowing you to clearly communicate with both your tutor and fellow students.

Distance Online Delivery is a mode of delivery for an individual student who studies a course wholly online with no tuition delivered or supported through face-to-face approaches giving a strong element of control over time, place and pace of delivery.

The programme offers students the opportunity for tutor-led peer discussion on key topics with a multidisciplinary approach, exploring realistic application with global reach.
