From India, studying MBA Global

What I enjoy most is the diverse classroom experience.

When I was looking for the right university to pursue my MBA Global, the course structure at the University of South Wales stood out immediately. It wasn’t just theory- USW offered real international exposure with an embedded placement, which was incredibly important for me as a marketing professional aiming to grow in a global context.

Now that I’m here, what I enjoy most is the diverse classroom experience. Studying alongside people from various countries has been both enriching and eye-opening. We often collaborate in group work, and the cultural mix creates such a dynamic and inclusive learning environment. It’s not just about attending lectures- the entire university vibe is friendly, welcoming, and driven by curiosity.

COMING FROM INDIA, I DID NOTICE A DIFFERENCE IN HOW EDUCATION WORKS IN THE UK.

There’s a much stronger focus on independent learning, practical application, and critical thinking. At USW, faculty members are genuinely supportive-they push you to think out of the box, help refine your ideas and provide all the resources you need to grow. Assessments are designed to reflect real-world challenges, and the support system here is unmatched.

Honestly, I didn’t face a major personal challenge while settling in, but I know some students might find the cold Welsh winter a bit surprising-so yes, pack some warm layers! That said, food isn’t a problem, you’ll find all kinds of cuisine, including Indian, quite easily.

I’ve also had the chance to take on leadership roles here- I was selected as a facilitator and group leader during university events, which gave me valuable experience and helped build my confidence further. Moments like these have really defined my time at USW.

If I had to describe my USW experience in three words, they would be: Supportive. Transformative. Collaborative.
