The University is based in South Wales, UK with campuses in Cardiff, Newport and Pontypridd. We also have a campus in Dubai.
International and EU students from more than 120 countries study at the University of South Wales each year and we have a vibrant Indian community on campus.
We are a popular choice with Indian students as there is a high standard of living and Cardiff is one of the most cost-effective cities in the UK.
We are excited to announce the launch of our MBA Global. It is a unique 2 year MBA where students can gain up to 10 months of work experience in the UK, either through an external work placement or an internal consultancy-based internship at the USW Business Clinic.
The Global MBA provides an excellent opportunity for students to gain UK industry exposure.
Other popular courses among our Indian students include:
The Student Choice Awards (now in their seventh year) give students the opportunity to nominate staff and students who have made a real difference to their learning and experience. They recognise innovative and inspiring teaching practices, and the different categories aim to recognise the different people who can make a huge difference to the student experience.
This year, the Students’ Union received an amazing 1,497 nominations across 9 categories. The winners of the staff awards are decided by a panel of student representatives from across USW with the winners were recognised at a black tie awards ceremony held in the Students’ Union in Treforest on Thursday 2 May.
One of Nihar’s nominations said: “Nihar is the most enthusiastic, passionate and helpful lecturer I've had through my entire undergraduate education. There isn't one student that I'm aware of that doesn't love him and his lectures, we all feel so supported by Nihar and his teaching methods should be adopted by all lecturers.”
Ceri Bowley, Course Leader for Performance BSc (Hons) Football Coaching and also won two awards in the categories of ‘Best Lecturer’ in the Faculty of Life Sciences and Education and ‘Winner of Winners’.
Ceri’s students wrote that his concern over “each student’s overall wellbeing, and academic and professional development” has been crucial to their progress.
We are immensely proud of our both Nihar and Ceri who are excellent examples of supportive and approachable teaching staff at the University of South Wales.
