This module offers an exciting opportunity to further develop your professional and employability skills via a series of practical skills workshops.
Work Placement
For your work placement module, you must choose between an external work-placement, an internal consultancy-based placement, an internal entrepreneurship-based placement or an internal online business simulation.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Typical qualification requirements:
A minimum UK second-class honours degree or recognised international equivalent qualification.
Relevant managerial experience is preferable and all applicants would be considered on an individual basis.

English language requirements
International applicants will need to have achieved an overall of IELTS 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component/TOEFL 72 overall and a minimum of 18 in reading, 17 in listening, 20 in speaking and 17 in writing or equivalent.

As a student of USW, you’ll have access to lots of free resources to support your study and learning, such as textbooks, publications, online journals, laptops, and plenty of remote-access resources. Whilst in most cases these resources are more than sufficient in supporting you with completing your course, additional costs, both obligatory and optional, may be required or requested for the likes of travel, memberships, experience days, stationery, printing, or equipment.

Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to obtain the CMI Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership. Students wishing to do this will be charged £250 (price correct at time of writing).
Course Highlights
How you’ll learn
You will undertake a variety of innovative assessments designed to build a portfolio of skills and competencies, from preparing scoping reports and briefings, to applying theoretical knowledge developed on the modules to a range of authentic work-related settings and challenges. There are no examinations on the course.
Teaching staff
The MBA Global staff are drawn from across the world, and, between then, speak over 15 languages. They are specialists in core fields such as operations management, business analytics, energy transitions, HRM and digital marketing. They have experience of studying and working in countries across the world, from Australia, India and the USA through to Japan, Nigeria and Finland, and therefore bring to the MBA Global an approach which is informed by culturally diverse experiences.
Placements
MBA Global students have the opportunity to complete an internal or external work placement. These placements provide students with an invaluable opportunity to apply knowledge developed in the taught modules, polish skills and competencies highly sought after by employers, while also providing insight into the way organisations operate and the challenges they face. The MBA Global offers a variety of placement choices, including an industry placement, a business consultancy internship, a start-up internship, and an online business simulation, thus enabling students to zoom in on different aspects of business skills and roles, and providing a full-fledged placement experience for all students. Placement pathways are subject to availability and students will make choices in consultation with the course team.
