The University of South Wales is a popular choice amongst international students and we have been welcoming students from Norway for many years.

Eligible students from Norway still pay the same fees as UK students at USW.
Everything you need to know
As a self-funding international student from Norway, you are eligible for a scholarship of:
- £2,500 per year for undergraduate students
- £2,500 per year for postgraduate students
This applies for courses starting in September 2024 and February 2025. You will be automatically considered for one of these awards when we receive your application.

Applicants securing Lånekassen funding are not required to pay a deposit. Applicants self-funding their studies (i.e. not securing Lånekassen funding), will be required to pay a £3000 deposit before the CAS is issued.
Foundation Years are available to students who don't meet the academic requirements for entry directly onto year 1 of a Bachelor degree.
English Qualifications
A 3 or above in English Language in Vitnemål fra den Videregående Skole (Vitnemål) can be accepted as equivalent to IELTS 6.0 and therefore can be taken as a suitable alternative at undergraduate level.
Don't worry if you do not meet these requirements as we offer a range of English Language courses.
Academic Qualifications
Students who hold the Vitnemål fra den Videregående Skole with 3 or above will be considered for admission to undergraduate programmes. Please check our course pages to see whether specific subjects are required in your Vitnemål.

- Students who hold a Candidatus Magisterii or Candidatus Juris (for Law) or a Bachelor degree will be considered for admission onto postgraduate programmes.
- Applicants who already hold a Masters degree will be considered for Masters programme entry.
- Applicants with a Masters degree will be considered for entry to Ph.D. studies.
