USW has support leadership development within Powys County Council and Powys Teaching Health Board since 2012. Their professional and flexible approach meant that we were able to develop programmes across the system that were bespoke to the needs within the organisation, which included opportunities at a variety of levels and also the professional advice to include additional elements such as action learning and coaching. The approach did not just provide us with a off-the-shelf series of courses, but a true development intervention that enabled us to solve organisational issues. The evaluation of this approach demonstrated the wider impact of developing the leadership culture and also enabling individuals to have the skills, knowledge, attitude and capability to progress and take on more challenging roles.
USW continue to play a significant part in leadership development across Powys as partners with the Regional Partnership Board with the Intensive Learning Academy in Leading Digital Transformation, which has taken the offer of courses to the next level of delivery, by introducing digital technologies. USW Commercial Services has worked with our key delivery partners for the past 10 years. It has allowed us to grow our portfolio of programmes to offer an inclusive training solution relative to industry demands, which is well recognised and well received, enabling our learners to develop and grow.
- The Professional Development Centre (PDC) have successfully delivered programmes of leadership learning that have had significant impact on behaviours, cultures and organisational performance.
- Working with our delivery partners Christie Wells Associates, our programmes are co-designed with our customers to challenge people's thinking in order for them to improve their performance in work by changing hearts and minds. Often based around your vision and values, programmes develop skills in a variety of disciplines such as performance management, manager as coach, having courageous conversations and motivating and team development, to name but a few.
- Working with our delivery partners Annovista, we have a vast amount of experience of designing bespoke programmes in line with your methodology and best practice. We offer consultancy to develop frameworks and toolkits to suit your needs including operating a programme or project management office.
