Film - BA (Hons)

Build your craft and create your future in the film industries with this practical and theoretical course.


Film (Cinematography) - MA

Specialize in cinematography by collaborating with USW students and industry professionals to develop your skills.


Film (Directing) - MA

Build on your existing skills and knowledge to master the craft of film directing, refine your expertise, understand industry specific attributes and experience directing with the most up to date technology, to make a lasting impact in the industry.


Film (Documentary) - MA

You’ll work with top industry professionals and gain experience working at a factual production company. This course will provide you with skills essential to becoming a documentary filmmaker in today’s industry, including storytelling, research skills, self-shooting, single-camera filmmaking and film editing.


Film (Editing) - MA

You'll work directly with other students and industry professionals, sharpening your editing skills and gaining real-world experience through collaboration.


Film (Production Management) - MA

Refine your Producing expertise through experience with industry partners and collaboration with USW students from the other MA Film specialisms, to lead and succeed in film production.


Film (Screenwriting) - MA

Collaborate with industry professionals and fellow USW students, gain insights, reflect critically, and elevate your screenwriting. You will work in production groups with the other MA Film pathway students on film exercises in semester 1 and a short film in semester 2.


Media Production - BA (Hons)

Designed with current industry experts, this course gives you the confidence and skills to thrive in today’s ever-evolving media industry.


Media, Culture and Journalism - BA (Hons)

Take part in today’s biggest media conversations as you explore how the relationship between the media, society and culture shapes who we are.


Sports Journalism - BA (Hons)

If you love sport and storytelling, this course helps you build the skills to become a sports journalist.
