New applicants

If you want to apply to USW and you haven’t applied to university this year, you can apply now. Take a look at our courses to see what we have available through Clearing.

Once you've found a course, call us on our Clearing helpline on 03455 76 06 06 and our friendly, understanding team will be ready to support you through your application.

Already applied through UCAS

If you are already holding an offer to study at USW, we are your firm choice and you achieved the grades you needed, you can log into your UCAS Hub account to see the status of your offer.

If you have missed out on your grades, you should check your UCAS Hub first to see whether we’ve been able to confirm you for your first choice course anyway, or whether we’ve made you an offer for an alternative course. If we weren’t able to confirm your place or make a relevant alternative offer, you can take a look at the courses we have available through Clearing and give us a call to see if we can make you an instant offer for another course.

Holding an offer elsewhere?

If you already hold an unconditional firm place at another university and want to apply for a new course or university, you can release yourself into Clearing. Log into your UCAS account and select the ‘Decline your place’ button in your application to do this. You will now be able to apply for a different course or university through Clearing. It is recommended you obtain an informal offer before doing this as you may not be able to add your previous choice back on if you decline this.

International advice

Applicants from outside the UK who are interested in studying at the University of South Wales in September 2025 should contact [email protected] for a member of the International Admissions Team to discuss suitability and whether a late application can still be made.
