How Clearing kept my dream of becoming a doctor alive

Growing up hard of hearing and only recently diagnosed with ADHD, Miriam often doubted herself and struggled with the feeling that she wasn’t capable—especially when it came to her dream of having a career in healthcare.

Results day brought disappointment when she didn’t achieve the grades needed for her original access course. But she didn’t give up. Instead, she applied to USW through Clearing and secured a place on our Medical Sciences course.

Now thriving in her studies, she’s firmly back on track toward medical school and is closer than ever to achieving her goal of becoming a doctor.
