Get Into: Pharmaceutical Science

Students will answer the question of whether tablets that have been stored incorrectly or are past their use-by date are safe, using a simple spectroscopic method to determine the degradation of aspirin tablets.

Explore the world of IR and NMR spectroscopy in this hands-on masterclass designed to complement the A-level chemistry syllabus.

Chemists are capable of successful careers in a wide range of scientific, business and commercial areas, including food science, pharmaceutical research or development, and environmental monitoring. 

This session will explore the various career paths available to those with a degree in chemistry.
