Our subject-specific events provide students with a deeper insight into studying Sport at university. Through hands-on activities and guidance from coaching and sport performance specialists, students will explore key areas such as athlete development, training techniques, and coaching across all levels, from grassroots to professional, helping them connect their learning to future careers in sport, fitness, and performance.

Athletic Performance Discovery Day

This Taster Day explores the multiple support services that an athlete might experience, including Strength and Conditioning, Sport Science, and Exercise Therapy, providing insight into the future careers options (on and off the pitch) as a graduate of these degrees.

Developing the Coaches of Tomorrow

This Taster Day gives students an insight into how they can become sport coaches and PE teachers. 

Outreach Talks and Workshops

Ideal for Year 12 and 13 learners, this interactive session is delivered by university academics and designed to help students explore the wide range of career opportunities within the sport sector. Covering areas such as Coaching, Performance Analysis, Sport Science, Therapy, and Sport Strength and Conditioning, the session provides practical insights into the skills and qualifications needed for each pathway. It’s a great way to support students who are interested in sport but unsure of their next steps.
