Carbon Performance

Achieving our longer term Net Zero goals will need University-wide collaboration, engagement, and action.

Regular monitoring, reporting, and reviewing of our carbon performance is vital for ensuring we remain on track and for identifying areas that we need to focus on. USW’s estate is diverse, and as we occupy buildings that vary in age, condition, type and size, achieving Net Zero by 2040 will be challenging and will require significant transformation of operations and systems.

The University is committed to reporting on its progress towards meeting the targets set out in our Net Zero Strategy. Below you will find our most recent Annual Sustainability Report, which provides details of the University's overall carbon performance, a review of progress against targets and our sustainability successes across the year.
