Key dates for exams

The Exam periods are published at the start of the academic year. Please see the Exam periods and key dates for dates of the exam periods and timetable release dates.

Please ensure you have read Sitting examinations during Ramadan before making the application.

If you think any of your exams will be affected by Ramadan please complete the online form Examination Application – Observing Ramadan to request an adjustment.

The exam key periods are published at the start of the year. It is your responsibility to make yourself aware of the exams you need to take during the academic year and in which month they take place. 

If an exam is scheduled to take place during one of the key periods, you must make yourself available for the duration of the exam period.

However, you may be able apply to sit your exams at a different location to your usual place of study (Offsite Exams).

December 2025 Professional Accounting/ACCA Exams (Newport)

  • Exam period- Monday 1st December- Wednesday 10th December
  • Timetables published to students- Friday 7th November 2025 

January 2026 Exam Period:

  • Exam period - Monday 12th January – Friday 16th January
  • Timetables published to students - Friday 12th December 2025

Law Mocks 2026

  • Exam period - Monday 19th January – Friday 30th January
  • Timetables published to students – Wednesday 17th December 2025

May 2026 Exam Period

  • Exam period - Monday 27th April - Friday 15th May
  • Timetables published to students - Friday 27th March 2026

June 2026 ACCA Exams (Newport)

  • Exam Period- Monday 1st June- Friday 5th June 
  • Timetables published to students- Friday 10th April 2026

August 2026 Exam Period

  • Exam period - Friday 31st July - Friday 7th August
  • Timetables published to students - Friday 17th July 2026

Professional Accounting/ ACCA Resits (Newport)

  • Exam Period- Monday 10th August- Friday 14th August
  • Timetables published to students- Friday 24th July 2026

Please note that in addition to the above, there will be some exams that will fall outside of these dates. Please contact your Module or Course Leader if you are unsure what period your exam is taking place.
