Arranging your interview
To arrange your interview, please sign in to our University Events Portal. Applicants must attend an interview before being offered a place on the course. If you have received an interview invitation but haven't booked yet, log in now to secure your spot.
If you haven't used our Events Portal before, you can sign in with the same email address you used for your application. To access your account and bookings options, click on 'Forgot your password?', follow the steps to set up your account, and then log in to book your place.

Interview advice and preparation
An interview doesn’t have to be a daunting experience. At the University of South Wales we use the interview process to assess your commitment to your chosen course and ensure you will uphold the values expected by the profession.
Remember, this is your opportunity to think about the role and qualities needed, and how your talents, skills and relatable experience match what we’re looking for.
You must attend the group interview alongside your individual interview. Your group interview is from 12pm (midday), whereas your individual interview will be at a different time during the day.
The interview will consist of 4 components:
- A presentation about MSc Play Therapy from the academic team.
- A group activity with other applicants. In preparation for this, please can you bring an everyday object with you which is not a toy, but can be used playfully.
- An individual presentation. This should last 10 minutes, and should provide a brief introduction of yourself, evidence of your ability to engage with a child playfully in a professional capacity, and reflections on how your professional work with children has supported your understanding of child development (adhering to GDPR).
- An individual interview lasting 15-20 minutes, with questions from the academic team.
