Documentary Photography

Sotirios Kapetanakis - Sotirios Kapetanakis is a multidisciplinary artist originally hailing from Greece, who combines creativity with technical expertise. His curiosity and proficiency in computers, electronics, and technical systems have significantly shaped his artistic methods.

Curtis Peacock - Curtis Peacock is a photographer working between London and Cardiff. Peacock’s work is made in dialogue with representations of people and nature in historical paintings, exploring the ability of photography to express the transcendent feeling of being in nature.

Daisy Leslie - Daisy Sophie Leslie is a documentary photographer from Newcastle. Her work addresses contemporary issues such as the meat industry, women’s safety and the conservation of nature. Her current work focuses on spirits.

Elouisa-Jayne Germon - Elouisa-Jayne Germon is a Cardiff-based documentary filmmaker and photographer. Through their pictures, they aim to interrogate the stigmas surrounding mental illness and portray often stereotyped subjects through authentic and explorative photography and film.

Hoda Alshaibani is a documentary photographer originally hailing from Sirte, Libya, but is now based in Cardiff. Supported by her family in her creative writing and art from a young age, Alshaibani first fell in love with the camera when asked to document her daily life in a short film.

Dan Moriarty - Daniel Moriarty is a documentary photographer based between Cardiff and Gloucester. His work explores themes of identity, belonging, and community. Moriarty is specifically interested in capturing experience using controlled environmental portraiture.

David Fyfe - David Fyfe is a documentary photographer based between Cardiff and Nottingham. His photographic practise typically focuses on economics and outdoor areas, exploring the complex relationships between people and institutions throughout today's social landscape.

Jackson Mount is a Cardiff-based photographer and filmmaker. His work examines the intersections between the social and environmental, exploring the relationship between people and land. His current project News from Nowhere is a body of work made in intentional communities around the UK.

Katy Morton - Katy Morton is a documentary photographer currently based in Cardiff, whose work explores the relationship between humans and the natural world. Her most recent body of work tackles the symbiotic relationship between conservation and agriculture in the Scottish Highlands.

Kit Heap - Kit Heap is a British photographer, based between Florida and Cardiff. Her work focuses on relationships between people as well as the lives of individuals. Heap seeks inspiration in moments of love and deep emotion, finding common ground in personal experiences.

Skye Tyson - Skye Tyson is a documentary photographer based between Cardiff and Banbury, Oxfordshire. Tyson’s work explores the lives of individuals and how they relate to each other and their surroundings.

Liv van der Ham - Liv van der Ham is a social documentary photographer and artist currently based in Cardiff. Her work focuses on the complexity of human emotions, connection, and vulnerability.

Maddie Jones - Madeleine Jones is a photographer from Fleet currently based in Cardiff. Jones holds a deep-seated passion for the different levels of consciousness. This interest is reflected in her work, which serves as a visual representation of this profound study.
