The University offers the following scholarships for self-funding international students. You will be automatically considered for one of these awards when we receive your application. For more information visit the international scholarships page.

  • International Academic Scholarship of £1,500 per year for undergraduate students
  • International Academic Scholarships of £2,000 for postgraduate students
  • International Academic Scholarships of £1,500 for MBA students

The University of South Wales is a designated institution that enables students from British Columbia and Ontario to attend and still be eligible for student financial assistance from their home province.

Foundation Entry Requirements

  • Foundation Years are available to applicants who hold a Canadian High School or Secondary School Diplomas with an overall score of less then 60% in 5 subjects at grade 12 


Undergraduate Entry Requirements

  • Applicants who hold a Canadian High School or Secondary School Diplomas with an overall score of 70% (B average) or above in 5 subjects at grade 12 will be considered for direct admission to a undergraduate degree programmeApplicants who have satisfactorily completed one year of a college/university program with GPA of 2.8+ depending can direct entry to a relevant undergraduate programme
  • Holders of the Diplome d’Etudes Collegiales (from Quebec) or the Attestation d’Etudes Collègiales with an overall score of 60% or above should be considered for entry on to first degree programmes.
  • Post secondary 2/3 year diploma’s will be considered for advanced entry to the 2nd/3rd year of a relevant degree programme


English Qualifications

Proficiency in English is essential for Undergraduate study. The University of South Wales recognises the Canadian High School or Secondary School Diplomas English language result as Proficiency in English.


Postgraduate Entry Requirements

  • Applicants with the equivalent to a Second Class Lower degree will be considered for masters programme entry
  • Applicants with a masters degree will be considered for masters programme entry
