Eligible students from Italy still pay the same fees as UK students at USW.

We have three vibrant campuses around the capital city of Wales; Cardiff. Here, you can enjoy a high standard of living at a low cost. You’ll be surrounded by the best of South Wales’ cities, coast and countryside, and we’re only 2 hours from London via train. Most of our 500 + courses are recognised or accredited by professional organisations and are all taught with employability in mind. That’s why 96% of USW graduates are in Employment and/or Further Study 15 months after graduation (Graduate Outcomes Survey 2021/22).

Everything you need to know

Our Undergraduate and Postgraduate EU Scholarship scheme offers a scholarship on the international tuition fees for EU students joining us in academic year 2026/2027. The scholarship awarded will ensure that the tuition fees paid do not exceed the fee currently paid by UK students.

You will be considered for a scholarship automatically when we receive your application to study. You do not need to make a separate scholarship application. You will receive confirmation of a scholarship with your offer letter and it applies to all years of study.

Foundation Years are available to students who don't meet the academic requirements for entry directly onto year 1 of a Bachelor degree.

English Qualifications

  • IELTS with an overall score of 6.0 with at least a 5.5 in each component. 

Please note that some courses may require a higher level of English language proficiency than the University’s standard requirements. Please see the course page for further information.

Academic Qualifications

  • Diploma di Esame di Stato/Diploma di Maturita Classica/Scientifica/Tecnica/Linguistica/Professionale/Magistrale or Artistica with a minimum overall mark of 70% 
  • Certain programmes, such as LLB Law or International Wildlife Biology, have different entry requirements. For further information, please contact us.

English Qualifications
