Everything you need to know

As a self-funding international student from Ivory Coast, you are eligible for a scholarship of:

£2,500 per year for undergraduate students
£2,500 per year for postgraduate students

This applies for courses starting in September 2024 and February 2025. You will be automatically considered for one of these awards when we receive your application.

Foundation Years are available to students who don't meet the academic requirements for entry directly onto year 1 of a Bachelor degree.

English Qualifications

Proficiency in English is essential for Undergraduate study. The University of South Wales recognises the following English Language qualifications:

GCSE/A Level English Language grade C or above
IELTS 6.0 (with a minimum of 5.5 in each band)

Academic Qualifications

The following qualifications are considered for year 1 entry onto a Bachelor degree award:

Baccalauréat Général with a score of 12 or above, French Baccalauréat with International Option
Baccalaureate General / Technologique
Baccalauréat Professionnel (BacPro)
Diplôme Universitaire de Technologie
Certain programmes, such as LLB Law or International Wildlife Biology, have different entry requirements. For further information please contact us.

English Qualifications

Proficiency in English is essential for Postgraduate study. The University of South Wales also recognises the following English language qualifications:

GCSE/O Level English at grade C or above
IELTS with an overall score of 6.0 with at least a 5.5 in each component. Please note that some courses may require a higher level of English language proficiency than the University’s standard requirements. Please see the course page for further information.
