Foundation Entry Requirements

Foundation Years are available to students who do not meet the academic requirements for entry directly onto year 1 of a Bachelor degree.

Undergraduate Entry Requirements

Academic Qualifications

  • Diploma de Ensino Secundário with a minimum overall mark of 14/Bom.
  • Certificado de fim de Estudos Secundários
  • Diploma Tecnico Profissional from Escola Profissionais (three years)
  • Holders of other qualifications, please contact us.
  • Certain programmes, such as LLB Law or International Wildlife Biology, have different entry requirements. For further information, please contact us.

Postgraduate and MBA Entry Requirements

Academic Qualifications

  • Licenciado or Diploma de Estudos Superiores Especializados (DESE) with a minimum overall grade of 14/Bom
  • Mestrado/Mestra can be considered for the appropriate master’s programme. 
  • Holders of other qualifications, please contact us.

English Qualifications

  • IELTS 6.0 (with a minimum of 5.5 in each band).
  • The Oxford Online placement test can be accepted instead of IELTS (when accompanied by a Skype interview) with the following grades: High B2 (75 – 80).
