Eligible students from Slovakia still pay the same fees as UK students at USW.

We have three vibrant campuses around the capital city of Wales; Cardiff. Here, you can enjoy a high standard of living at a low cost. You’ll be surrounded by the best of South Wales’ cities, coast and countryside, and we’re only 2 hours from London via train. Most of our 500 + courses are recognised or accredited by professional organisations and are all taught with employability in mind. That’s why 95% of graduates are in work or further study within six months of graduation (DLHE, 2018). South Wales has long been welcoming Slovakians to the region. With a growing community there is now a Slovakian Consulate. There are also several delicatessens, shops and restaurants specialising Slovak foods.

Our Undergraduate and Postgraduate EU Scholarship scheme offers a scholarship on the international tuition fees for EU students joining us in academic year 2026/2027. The scholarship awarded will ensure that the tuition fees paid do not exceed the fee currently paid by UK students.

You will be considered for a scholarship automatically when we receive your application to study. You do not need to make a separate scholarship application. You will receive confirmation of a scholarship with your offer letter and it applies to all years of study.

Foundation Years are available to students who don't meet the academic requirements for entry directly onto year 1 of a Bachelor degree.

Academic Qualifications

Maturita / Maturitná skúška or the Vysvedčenie o Maturinej Skúške with a score of 3/dobrý.
Vysvedčenie o absolventskej skúška (Higher Vocational Diploma)

English Qualifications

2 or above in English Language in Maturita/Vysvedčenie o Maturinej Skúške is equivalent to IELTS 6.0
IELTS 6.0 overall with no less than 5.5 in each component

Academic Qualifications

Bakalár with a grade of no less than vel’mi dobrý (very good) or above
Magister or Inžinier with average grades of dobrý (good) or above
Second Class Lower Honours degree or a Masters Degree
MBA applicants should have one of the above and ideally 1 year of work experience
