Everything you need to know
As a self-funding international student from Turkey, you are eligible for a scholarship of:
- £2,500 per year for undergraduate students
- £2,500 per year for postgraduate students
This applies for courses starting in September 2024 and February 2025. You will be automatically considered for one of these awards when we receive your application.

Foundation Years are available to students who don't meet the academic requirements for entry directly onto year 1 of a Bachelor degree.
English Qualifications
- GCSE English at grade C or above
- IELTS with an overall score of 6.0 with at least a 5.5 in each component.
Please note that some courses may require a higher level of English language proficiency than the University’s standard requirements. Please see the course page for further information.
Don’t worry if you do not meet these requirements as we offer a range of English language courses.
Academic Qualifications
- Students who have have achieved suitable results in UK A-levels or the IB
- Students who have completed a recognised Foundation Programme will be considered for direct entry onto the first year of our undergraduate programmes.
- Students who have completed the first year of a relevant university course in Turkey can be considered for direct entry onto the first year of most undergraduate programmes.
- Students who have achieved particularly high results in their Devlet Lise Diplomasi or Lise Bitirme Diplomasi may be considered for direct entry onto the first year of some undergraduate programmes.
- Students who have a GPA of over 2.75 in the On Lisans will be considered on an individual basis for year 2 entry on to a Bachelors degree, provided they have studied a relevant course.

- Students with a ‘good/satisfactory’ grade in their Lisans Diplomasi can be considered for a Masters programme
- Students who have completed the Yuksek Lisans Diplomasi will be considered for a PhD.
