Course Kit Bursary  2027/28

As a student of the following courses, you'll receive an outdoor clothing voucher and a kit bag (BSc (Hons) International Wildlife Biology), or a USW-branded lab coat and goggles (BSc (Hons) Forensic Science, BSc (Hons) Forensic Investigation, BSc (Hons) Pharmaceutical Science and BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science) when you enrol to support you with course costs.

To be eligible, you need to meet the following criteria:

As long as you meet the eligibility criteria, no further action is required, and you will automatically be awarded the items. 

Eligible students will receive an outdoor clothing voucher and a kit bag (BSc (Hons) International Wildlife Biology) or a USW-branded lab coat and goggles (BSc (Hons) Forensic Science, BSc (Hons) Forensic Investigation, BSc (Hons) Pharmaceutical Science and BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science) following enrolment.  

No, the bursary is only available in the first year of your studies.

Yes.

If you leave before you have received the items in the first term, you will not be eligible to receive them. 

If you leave after you have received the items, you are entitled to keep them. 

Unfortunately, if your items break, you will not be entitled to receive any replacements.

By agreeing to the terms and conditions of the bursary, you are agreeing to complying with the University’s Student Code of Conduct and that there will not be any misuse of the equipment - Student Conduct | University of South Wales

Yes, international students are eligible to receive the items. Please be assured that receiving this support is not considered as ‘public funds’ and therefore will not impact on any future visa applications that you may make. If you have any queries, please email [email protected].
