Supplier Awards 2022 winners’ lunch

On Tuesday 16 May, University of South Wales (USW) hosted a lunch for the Supplier Awards 2022 winners. It was held at the Treforest Campus in the Conference Centre. 

The Supplier Awards launched in May 2021 to show appreciation for the suppliers who work with USW colleagues, our students and our local communities . 

Led by USW’s procurement team, the awards were split into six categories, with nominations going through a two-stage panel shortlisting process. To date, award ceremonies for the Supplier Awards  have been virtual.

Winners of the 2022 awards were: Lloyd Electrical Services, Enroly, Collecteco, and Kingdom Security. The in-person celebration gave these winners well deserved recognition as outstanding suppliers for USW, and allowed the suppliers and the USW colleagues who nominated them the chance to celebrate together. 

Each table was hosted by a member of the USW Executive team who, again, recognised the reasons why each supplier had won, before inviting them to receive their physical award. 

Catherine Lund, Procurement Director at USW, said: “The second annual Supplier Awards were a huge success, and we are very excited to have the opportunity to recognise the brilliant performances of our external suppliers in person at this Winners’ Lunch. 

“We were struck by the diversity of nominations in 2022 and are proud to acknowledge several suppliers from the local area who have stood out in their performance for USW. Congratulations to all the winners.”

The Supplier Awards 2023 will  launch at the end of May, with the winners announced in November. Details on how to nominate will be announced soon.
