USW ranked among UK top 40 for student support and graduate salaries

The University of South Wales (USW) has been recognised for its commitment to student success in the latest Daily Mail University Guide, rising 14 places for student support and securing a place among the UK's top 40 universities for graduate salaries. Across Wales, USW climbed further from 5th to 4th place.

USW is ranked 37^th nationally for student support, reflecting the University's continued focus on providing students with the wellbeing services and academic assistance they need to thrive throughout their studies.

The guide also highlights the strong outcomes achieved by USW graduates. The University is ranked joint 39^th in the UK for graduate salaries, with graduates earning an average salary of £30,000, while 74.3% of graduates report that their career is on track following graduation.

Several subject areas at USW also achieved particularly strong results. Law and Music were both ranked among the UK's top 10 subjects, while Nursing and Midwifery, Aeronautical and Aerospace Engineering, and Marketing were all ranked within the top 15 nationally.

USW placed joint 89^th overall, retaining the improvement achieved since the guide launched in 2025, when initially ranked 106^th.
