National Cyber Security Academy recognised for contribution to national resilience

USW National Cyber Security Academy has been recognised with the Outstanding Contribution to National Resilience Award at Defence Security Resilience Cymru (DSRC), Wales’s flagship supply chain event for the defence, security and national resilience sectors.

The award celebrates an organisation whose products, services or programmes have strengthened the UK’s preparedness, continuity, emergency response or societal resilience across critical sectors.

The National Cyber Security Academy was recognised for its contribution to cyber resilience through its education, training and partnership initiatives. Its work helps strengthen cyber security knowledge, skills and resilience among students, communities and partners across Wales and the wider UK.

The recognition highlights the impact of the Academy’s work in using education, expertise and collaboration to help address the growing challenges of cyber security and support a more resilient society.

USW Vice-Chancellor Professor Osama Khan said: “This is a fantastic achievement and richly deserved recognition for everyone involved in the National Cyber Security Academy. At a time when cyber resilience is more important than ever, the Academy is making a real difference through its education, expertise and partnerships, helping to build the skills, knowledge and resilience our communities, organisations and society need. The award is a recognition of the contribution made by the National Cyber Security Academy and its partners to developing cyber resilience and supporting national resilience.
